The Doctor is annoyed by River's high heels...
They ran into the Tardis at full tilt, River hobbling, screeching howls sounded behind them, a laser bolt flashed over their heads and impacted the far wall.
They whirled and slammed the doors shut, panting. The chaos was safely locked outside.
River reached down and pulled off her broken high heel.
The Doctor looked down in disapproval. "River, why do you always have to wear high heels? You know we're going to end up running. You could have broken your leg!" He waved his arms, his ire not quite covering his concern.
She tossed aside the offending shoes, she smiled at him, tilting her head coyly. "They make my legs look good," she said. She slipped a hand down his irate face. "And I'll happily risk it to see that appreciative gleam in your eye," she said softly.
He calmed under her touch. He leaned forward and touched his nose to hers. "I appreciate your legs when they're in nothing but skin," he said in a soft, guttural voice that reverberated all the way down to the pit of her stomach.
She made a note to remind herself that he was a dangerous man.
And to go barefoot around him more often.

"Don't blink."
You were relieved to hear the Doctor's voice come to your ears, and tried your best not to blink when looking at the angel. "What is this thing?" You asked, raising an eyebrow as he took a step closer to you.
"We'll get to that later. I found another one down the alleyway just a bit. They only move when nobody is looking at them, so we need to get them to look at each other."
You nodded, "Is the other one close by?"
"It's right in front of me," he stated, "On the count of three, we're both going to jump out of the way so that they're looking at each other, alright?"
"Okay," You agreed, bracing yourself, so that you jumped ou

In Another Universe
The Ood watched as the Doctor pulled himself back into the TARDIS, the golden glow of regeneration energy sparkled by his hands. He always thought regeneration was so beautiful for what it was -- dying. The bursts of light were just another way to feel pain. Another body coming to take the only thing he had left.
"I bet you're going to have a great year" still lingered in the back of his mind, as he thought of all the times Rose had yet to come. All the trips in the TARDIS, all the adventures, the danger that she seemed so addicted to. He knew somewhere that she was happy in another universe, possibly married to the "other" doctor.

~Still Got Legs~ 11th DoctorxReader Chapter Four
Once you reached the warehouse, which had the faded, nearly illegible words 'Dreamwall Glass' above the door. the Doctor pointed his sonic screwdriver-- which he promised he'd explain to you later, when you were out of immediate danger-- at the locked door, and, afterwards, it opened for him. You stared at the object in amazement, and smiled.
He couldn't help but smile, too, delighted at your curiosity and bewonderment at his tool. After a moment, he pointed to you, and then put a finger over his lips. You nodded, affirming that you'd gotten the message, and he beckoned for you to follow him, into the near complete darkness of the warehouse.
